PDF Marcel Proust ¹ Sur la lecture eBook ´ Sur la eBook æ ¹ lecture free, Sur la mobile, Sur la lecture MOBIThis tiny book isn't uite what the cover and most readers make it out to be It's not a beautiful lyrical eulogy to reading although the first 10 or so pages are very beautiful and remind one of the beginning of Swann's Way it's a passionate refutation of the idea that reading classics by itself is the best way to educate yourself which Ruskin supported in Sesame and Lilies among many other eually foolish and hideously chauvinistic ideas I suspect that the book is a bit confusing to read if you haven't read Sesame and Lilies and the fact that its published on its own seems a bit strange to me I would have especially treasured Proust's translation of the text but overall it's an interesting essay an interesting early show of support for active reading and an even interesting portrait of the different shades admiration can take for Pro
